Life is all about listening to your heart and chasing your dreams. That’s the essence of 3 IDIOTS!

To cut a long story short, all you’d like to say about the film is, All izz very, very, very, very, very well. Watch this film to know what it means!

You go in to see 3 Idiots expecting the genius Aamir Khan to weave magic on screen.

But despite the mental conditioning, the impact of the film is so overwhelming that it leaves you spellbound for hours after it has ended.

The Story

Farhan Qureshi (R. Madhavan), Raju Rastogi (Sharman Joshi), and Rancho or Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad (Aamir Khan) are three engineering students who all share the same room in a hostel at the fictional Imperial College of Engineering, one of the best colleges in India. While Farhan and Raju are mediocre students from modest backgrounds who want to lift their families out of poverty, Rancho is a wealthy genius who studies for the sheer joy of it. However, Rancho’s passion for knowledge and machine-building rather than exam rankings, conforming to the system and social climbing incurs the wrath of Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe (ViruS) (Boman Irani).

Rancho irritates his lecturers by giving creative and unorthodox answers, and confronts ViruS after a fellow student Joy Lobo hangs himself in his dormitory room. Joy had requested an extension on his major project on compassionate grounds—his father had suffered a stroke—but ViruS refused, saying that he himself was completely unmoved by his own son’s accidental death after being hit by a train and then proceeding to phone Lobo’s ill father and inform him that his son will not be graduating. Rancho denounces the rat-run, dog-eat-dog, mindless rote learning mentality of the institution, blaming it for Lobo’s death, after which ViruS hauls his rebellious student and forces him to lecture the other students. Rancho them embarrasses the staff and students by asking them questions about non-existent concepts (Farhanitrate & Prerajulization), prompting them to search through textbooks trying to find a definition.

Threatened by Rancho’s talent and free spirit, ViruS labels him an “idiot” and attempts on a number of occasions to destroy his friendship with Farhan and Raju, warning them and their parents to steer clear of Rancho. In contrast, ViruS’ model student is Chatur Ramalingam or “Silencer,” (Omi Vaidya) who sees a high rank at the prestigious college as his ticket to higher social status, corporate power, and therefore wealth. Chatur conforms to the expectations of the system, and works by mindless rote learning, and unethical means of destroying his competition, such as trying to distract his classmates by feeding them pornography magazines. Rancho humiliates Chatur, who is awarded the honour of making a speech at an award ceremony by inserting obscenities into the text, which has been written by the librarian. Chatur proceeds to mindlessly memorise and read the speech without noticing that anything is amiss, which is littered with vulgar language directed at ViruS and the federal education minister, much to their horror, and to the students’ uproarious laughter.

Meanwhile, Rancho also falls in love with ViruS’ medical student daughter Pia (Kareena Kapoor) when he, Raju and Farhan crash her sister’s wedding banquet in order to get a free meal. This incident provokes further run-ins with ViruS, but Rancho wins over Pia after first insulting her fiancee Suhas and then demonstrating that Suhas only sees Pia’s hand in marriage as a means of furthering his career by marrying into an influential family. Rancho does this by damaging Suhas’s expensive material goods, and then confiscating Suhas’s gifts to Pia. The latter incident provokes an angry tirade from Suhas towards Pia about how much money she has lost him—he thinks that she was absent-minded and lost the present. After this, the pair fall in love and Pia saves Raju’s ill father by administering emergency treatment after he collapses.

For rest of the story, watch the movie!

Some films absorb you instantly, from the very outset. But it takes time to get into the world of a salesman who thinks from his heart.

Come to think of it, ROCKET SINGH - SALESMAN OF THE YEAR is about a simple person, but the story of his struggle and accomplishment would charge you to make a similar path in life.

In a nutshell, ROCKET SINGH - SALESMAN OF THE YEAR is a bright and wonderful experience.

Harpreet Singh Bedi [Ranbir Kapoor] has just graduated and his marks are, well, let’s say a little embarrassing. But marks never stopped him from dreaming of an exciting and adventurous career, and they never will.

He takes a deep, positive breath and dives into the world of sales, rumoured to be an ultra cool career. It’s everything he dreamt of, with its smooth dressing, smoother talking men and women who can sell ice to an Eskimo, dreams to an insomniac and a lifetime mobile connection to a dying man. But soon, his idea of success begins clashing with the strange ways of these ‘professionals’ and ‘bosses’ he looked up to.

Harpreet Singh (Ranbir Kapoor) is just out of college and he joins a computer sales and service company as a trainee. He is pure at heart and wants to be honest in his work. His forthright attitude costs him a lot in his company. He is forced to sit out and do dirty work. His boss believes in bribing and getting sales orders at any cost. Vested by the way his company treats him, Harpreet want to show his entrepreneurial skills. He floats a secret company called ‘Rocket’ and bags orders and wins loyal customers. He uses the resources and employees of the office. The rest of the story is all about what happens when his boss finds out the truth.

About:

These chicken wings are easy to make, very good to taste. Great to serve as snacks, or as a main course with bread or rice.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup mustard
1 Kg chicken wings (12-14), wing tips cut off and discarded or saved for stock
1 Tbsp oil
2 teaspoons white vinegar
1 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
3/4 cup freshly grated cheese

* To make bread crumbs, take 2 or 3 slices of white sandwich bread, cut into 1-inch pieces, pulse in a food processor or blender until crumbly.

Directions:

1 Preheat oven to 450°F. Oil the rack of a broiler pan.

2 In a large shallow bowl, whisk together the mustard, oil, vinegar, and pepper. In another bowl toss together the cheese and bread crumbs. Working one at time, coat the chicken wings with the mustard mixture, rubbing the mixture in well. Then press the wings, thick skin side down, into the bread crumb mixture. Place the wings on the prepared rack and broiler pan, crumb side up.

3 Bake wings in oven for 30 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.

Can be served warm or at room temperature. Can make ahead one day, chill, and reheat in 400°F until coating is crispy.

Madhubala, Deepika Padukone, Comparing the Bollywood Actresses

Comparing Madhubala with Deepika Padukone

When some one saw Madhubala in some 60’s movie he would say “Wow”

When some one sees Deepika Padukone in any of todays movie he says “Wow”

The only difference is the sentence has a changed ending.

Earlier, it was “Wow what a performance” and not it is “Wow she’s looking hot”

The times have changed over the years and so has the public preferences.

Earlier people used to give more importance to the acting skills and now the looks. The looks were important earlier too, Madhubala is till date one of the most beautiful actresses Bollywood has had. But now the acting skills have taken a back seat.

I am not directly comparing the legend of Madhubala with a newcomer like Deepika Padukone, but signifying as a whole, the preferences of people.

I do believe in the saying, “Old is Gold”

I don’t think people would have liked the performances of newbees like Deepika or Katrina back at the old times. But I am somewhat sure, Madhubala would have won people’s hearts even in today’s times.

Here is a Video of Madhubala:

As Technology is advancing day by day, so is the fear - Will Robots dominate the human some day ?

On one side the scientists and engineers from all over the world are working towards building the best in robotics, machines which can talk and work like humans, on the other hand they are worried, that a day does not come when these robots become more powerful than men and women, thus resulting in a disaster.

While the computer scientists agree that we are a long way from Hal, the computer that took over the spaceship in “2001: A Space Odyssey,” they said there was legitimate concern that technological progress would transform the work force by destroying a widening range of jobs, as well as force humans to learn to live with machines that increasingly copy human behaviors.

The researchers also discuss possible threats to human jobs, like self-driving cars, software-based personal assistants and service robots in the home.

Just last month, a service robot developed by Willow Garage in Silicon Valley proved it could navigate the real world.

I think there should be a Control mechanism, when we are making robots, we should make some thing that is always in our control and can be used in case of such mishappenings in the future.

Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao - New Reality Show on Sony - A Review by Deepika

A new television Reality show was recently launched, called as “Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao”

As usual, this show also has some TV Artists and some low-grade personalities, like Palak from MTV Roadies, Shweta Tiwari, Chetan Hansraj, Aman Verma and others.

Shweta Tiwari comes in tears soon enough. She doesn’t want to sleep on the bed that’s on the outer circle of the camp. She’s scared, you see. Later, she has a hissy fit. “I want salt. I want salt. I want salt. I want s-a-l-t.”

Pop singer Anaida fought with most participants on the first day show. Anaida’s whining is one notch higher, though. “This modesty smock is see through!” She’s as irritating as the low buzz of a malicious Malaysian insect.

The strange collection of male participants stay calm and try to offset all these screeching women. Akash Deep Saigal is the self-appointed evangelist who believes “it’s great if you start the day together.” Whatever.

There’s brief excitement when contestant Chetan Hansraj is strapped to a wooden wheel that rotates. He must dig out the yellow stars from tubs containing eels; more than 200 leeches and slime; 6kg maggots; 100kg or more of fish guts; and a variety of snakes.

Palak is as always, dyeing for Camera footage, so she is easily seen coming infront of camera for no reasons at all.

The show overall looks like Big Boss, just the location is different.

Mini Mathur, the anchor looks the best, even better than all participants, she doesn’t look of her age at all.

On one channel you see Rakhi Sawant’s prime-time swayamvar and on the other you see such jungle reality show - Its time to switch off from such Reality Shows, I think Laughter Challenges were better!

Whenever the Off-Season Discount Sales are On in the markets, we all feel like going to the market at the earliest and buying most of the things.

Some shops give 20% Off where as, there are some which give as high as 80% Off !

We just keep on picking the stuff, from one shop to another, as if we were in a panic situation.

After the Sales are over though, we do realise, was it worth it ?

There are often things that we never need or need the least, but because of Sales in the market, we end up buying such Unrequired things.

But when I think from the other point of view, if there were no Discount Sales in the market, we may have never bought these items in our life.

In a nutshell:

For Customers, its a kind of loss cum profit situation.

For shopkeepers, this is ofcourse a Win-Win situation. They sell items in bulk, and even that stuff which otherwise was never even looked upon by their customers.

I personally feel we do end up spending extra money at Sale. We should rather try to stay at home instead of running in the markets. Buy only if - the thing is of utmost importance and a necessity for you, Or if you are getting a thing at a cheap price which you otherwise had to buy at a higher price. Beware - no shopkeeper is a fool. The items which they give you at 50% price may be the same items which otherwise were available at same price even without the Sale.

So next time you go to a Sale in the market, just remember Deepika’s suggestion and ask yourself …. Do I really need it and is this really worth it ?

In the serial NA AANA IS DESH MEIN LAADO, the concept is when the woman gives the birth to the baby girl, the woman is called as unlucky. The baby girl is given death immediately by giving her crushed glass with water and she is buried under the earth. There are so many places in India, where such type of incidents is taking place even today.

In the serial MERE GHAR AAYI EK NANHI PARI, the girl has taken birth, and she has been titled as GHAR KI LAXMI. SHE HAS BEEN GIVEN A GREAT PRIDE.

These both serials are running successfully and becoming popular day by day.

MERE GHAR AAYI EK NANHI PARI

Thanks to channel COLORS which has given such good serials named as BALIKA VADHU, JAANE KYA BAAT HUI, NA AANA IS DESH MEIN LAADO, MERE GHAR AAYE EK NANHE PARI, UTTARAN, I think, these serials can help to change the FACE OF INDIA.
