According to me the girl should be working and mature enough to think about marriage proposal.

She should be physically and mentally mature for marriage.

Before marriage she should know about the background and the nature of the bridegroom.

The girl should know that she is not getting adjusted only with the bridegroom, but she has to adjust with all the family members.

The servants can play a important role in marriage proposals, they can report the whole home environment to the opposite party.

She has to go to other person’s house. She has to go through all the customs of the new house. As she has to adjust herself, the family members will not adjust with her.

As the people say the girl has three births:

One, when she is born in her parents house,

Second, when she is married,

Third, when she gives birth to child.
